Up for sale is a beautiful and highly collectible 15-inch vintage Norah Wellings cloth doll, dating to approximately the 1930s. Designed by the legendary British toy designer Norah Wellings, these cultural souvenir dolls were highly popular novelties sold on premium cruise ships and at luxury holiday resorts during the pre-war era.
This doll features a wonderful molded fabric mask face with hand-painted expressive details, featuring a classic toothy grin and distinct side-glancing eyes. The main body is constructed of soft velveteen with stitched details. She is wearing her vibrant yellow and red felt clothing with lace detailing. The top of her head features a shock of bright reddish-orange mohair.
Condition:
This is a genuine almost antique, pre-owned item showing expected signs of age and play wear.
