For sale is the legendary vintage prime lens Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 100mm f/2.8 with Exakta mount. Serial number 2294281, made in Germany in the early 1960s. This lens is famous worldwide for its unique, artistic soap bubble bokeh effect. The mechanical condition of the focusing ring is excellent, it rotates super smoothly and works perfectly. The lens comes with a matching metal lens hood, a front Pentax cap, and a rear protective cap. Since this lens is almost always used wide open at f/2.8 to get its iconic look, it remains a fantastic and fully usable tool for creative portrait, macro, and artistic photography.
Condition
The lens is in good cosmetic and optical condition for its age. The glass elements are quite clean with only minimal micro-dust and very slight internal dust/haze particles that do not affect image quality. The focusing ring operates smoothly and flawlessly. Please note the main defect: the aperture blades are completely missing. The lens can only be used wide open at f/2.8.
