Up for sale is a highly collectible and rare pre-war Soviet rangefinder camera FED-S (also known as FED-Speed or Komandirsky / Commander model), manufactured between 1938 and 1941 by the NKVD-USSR Combine in Kharkov. This premium commander model features an extended shutter speed range up to 1/1000s and is equipped with a very rare, high-speed FED 1:2 f=50mm lens. The camera has undergone a complete professional service (CLA - Clean, Lubricate, Adjust). The focal plane shutter curtains are in pristine condition with absolutely no light leaks. The rangefinder is bright, high-contrast, and precisely calibrated. Mechanically and optically, this camera operates perfectly. It has been thoroughly tested with a test film roll, ensuring absolute operational perfection. A wonderful turnkey addition for discerning collectors and vintage film photography enthusiasts.

Excellent fully working condition. The camera has just passed a professional CLA mechanism service. Shutter curtains are perfect, fully light-tight, and all speeds (B, 1/20 to 1/1000s) fire accurately. The rangefinder is clean and perfectly calibrated. The lens optics are crystal clear with no scratches, fungus, or separation. The body is in beautiful cosmetic shape with genuine vulcanite intact. The only minor cosmetic flaw is a slight paint peeling on the shutter speed dial due to its respectable age, which does not affect functionality.
