What happens when you win an auction?

1. We will contact you the morning after the auction ends to confirm your preferences on the following:

• If you are collecting (please include date and time of collection to be booked in);
• If you require delivery (please include the delivery address);
• Your preferred payment method (Bank transfer/PayPal (please provide your email address)).

*eBay are not able to facilitate payments on our motor vehicles. If you have attempted to pay via ebay you will notice the payment shows as pending; this status will not change. Contact our sales team via eBay message and we will facilitate all payments directly. (Note that we are only able to deliver the bike(s) to the delivery address as shown on PayPal if paying via PayPal)

2. We will add the delivery charge (if needed) and send a revised invoice via eBay. We accept PayPal or bank transfer.

3. (FOR DELIVERIES/COURIER COLLECTIONS) After the invoice has been paid, please send us the following via an eBay message - full name, two contact numbers, a copy of your photo ID (The photo ID must match the name as shown on eBay) and an email address.

4. (FOR DELIVERIES) We will then pass your details to our logistics department who will arrange a convenient delivery date with you. There will be roughly four bikes on each route, as soon as the route is full our logistics team will call to confirm.

*Moto Mine requires a copy of your driving license or passport via eBay immediately after winning an auction. This is used to validate the eBay account holder details. We require this by law and cannot proceed with orders without one. A clear picture taken on a phone is sufficient.

Bank transfer / BACS - We accept bank transfer for both collection and delivery. We will need photo ID from both the purchaser and courier.

PayPal delivery - We can only deliver the bike(s) to the address as shown on the PayPal account; a photo ID must be provided with the same name as shown on eBay.

Can I pay via eBay?

eBay are not able to facilitate payments on our motor vehicles. If you have attempted to pay via eBay you will notice the payment shows as pending; this status will not change. Please contact our sales team via eBay message to arrange payment of your order, organise delivery or a time slot for collection, to avoid possible storage charges and to assist our processing and shipment.

Do I need to pay storage charges?

Storage charges of £20 per day will be applied for each day (MON-SAT) that the item goes beyond the collection/dispatch period.

What ID do I need to provide?

Please note that we expect purchasers to provide photo proof of identity (photo card driving licence or passport) when collecting. We will need to take a copy of your photo ID on collection for our records. We are required by law to do this. If you are arranging a courier to collect the vehicle or organising delivery with us then you will need to message us with a picture of your photo ID. The courier will also need photo ID with them upon collection.

What does "Engine Running" mean?

If we have listed a bike as a runner, we have started the engine in neutral. We do not run bikes through the gears or test ride due to the salvage nature. Due to the insurance write-off circumstances of our stock, a bike has likely been sat in storage for an extended period of time whilst a claim is ongoing. Consequently, the battery would have reached the point of full discharge. We test engines using a jump pack when we take photos and at point of collection, meaning a bike may be listed as a runner despite needing a replacement battery.

What do the salvage categories mean?

Salvage category system for motor vehicles is written by the ABI (Association of British Insurers).

All Motorcycles for sale on our store are classified as category N. This means there has been no structural damage to the main frame.

What specific damage is on the bike?

Due to the high volume of stock, we have on site, it is not possible to create or obtain damage reports. Moto Mine request you carefully view the professional images and information provided on each the listing.

What do I do if the V5 (logbook) is not present?

Applying for a replacement V5 is very straightforward and inexpensive. You can apply for a replacement V5 in your name by completing a "V62" form - Apply for a vehicle registration certificate (form V62) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Fill out sections 1 & 3 of the form with all of the relevant information and enclose a cheque for £25. Once sent to the DVLA they will issue you with a new V5 (Normally within 2 to 4 weeks).

What happens if the V5 (logbook) is present?

If a bike is sold with a V5, you will be handed the new keeper if available. The transfer of ownership will be completed online by Moto Mine (This applies to all customers regardless of circumstance)

What does a "write off" on HPI register mean?

If a vehicle is registered as a "write off", it means that it has been involved in an incident (normally either an accident or theft). It has subsequently gone through an insurance claim process and has been deemed uneconomical to repair. All bikes can go back on the road once they are repaired and made roadworthy / safe. The extent of damages to vehicles can vary so please study the advert images carefully and direct any additional enquiries to our team of advisors.
