1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 1 Stickers (Issued in the United Kingdom) - Two Unopened Packs - EXCELLENT condition. These nearly 40 year-old packs came from a sealed case which I bought myself in 1985.  Garbage Pail Kids is a series of stickers produced by the Topps Company, originally released in 1985 and designed to parody the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, which were wildly popular at the time.  Each sticker card features a Garbage Pail Kid character having some comical abnormality, deformity, and/or suffering a terrible fate with a humorous word play character name such as Adam Bomb or Blasted Billy. The sticker fronts are die-cut so that just the character with its nameplate and the GPK logo can be peeled from the backing. No one would ever have predicted the popularity of these stickers, and they were so successful that 15 separate series were issued in the US from 1985-1988 (not to mention other releases issued all over the world and numerous other issues that continue to this date).  These packs are from the 1st Series issued in the United Kingdom in 1985.  This lot contains two unopened packs.  Each pack has 3 stickers and they are smaller in size the US version (and more scarce).  These are guaranteed to be unopened and in EXCELLENT condition. Check out the scan for the artwork on the colorful wrappers.  These are a very colorful addition to any collection of non-sports cards. No collection of Garbage Pail Kids items is complete without these packs. All previous buyers of my non-sports unopened packs (including many repeat buyers) have been completely satisfied.
