Designed as a direct replacement for the restrictive factory intake resonator pipe, the Dinan upgrade removes the sound-deadening resonator while providing a larger diameter, smooth-bore airflow path.

The result is increased intake and turbo sound together with improved airflow and reduced pressure drop through the intake system.

WHY DELETE THE FACTORY INTAKE RESONATOR?

The factory intake resonator is designed partly to suppress intake and turbo noise. Its multi-directional internal airflow path can also create disruption within the intake tract.

The Dinan replacement removes this resonator and replaces it with a larger diameter smooth-bore aluminium pipe, allowing a cleaner airflow path while restoring more of the natural intake and turbo sound.

76MM SMOOTH-BORE PIPEWORK

The Dinan pipe increases the diameter from approximately 70mm on the factory pipe to 76mm.

Combined with the smooth internal path, this helps improve airflow and minimise pressure drop compared with the restrictive factory resonator design.

More Intake & Turbo Sound

One of the main benefits of removing the factory resonator is the additional sound from the MINI's intake and turbo system.

Rather than artificially creating noise, the Dinan pipe removes the factory sound-deadening element, allowing you to hear more of the natural intake and turbo sound.

The upgrade works particularly well alongside a performance intake, including a Dinan intake, where the combination allows even more of the induction system's sound to be heard.

OEM+ Engine Bay Appearance

Finished in a durable black powder coating, the pipe has been designed to blend neatly into the MINI engine bay rather than looking out of place.

TIG-welded fittings provide a high-quality finish while allowing the assembly to connect neatly with the factory connections.

Compatible With Modified or Standard Cars

The Dinan resonator delete can be used as an upgrade on its own and does not require a complete Dinan intake system.

It can be installed on a vehicle retaining other factory intake components or used alongside a variety of compatible aftermarket performance modifications.

Installation

The Dinan assembly is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory resonator pipe.

The original resonator assembly is removed and the Dinan smooth-bore aluminium pipework is installed in its place using the appropriate factory connections.
