LAPS is a compact multitrack machine designed for layering soundscapes, crafting tape-style overdubs, and creating intricate sonic collages.

Capture time, fracture loops, and collage segments of sound. LAPS lets you overwrite recordings mid-motion, throw memory into disarray, and carve glitchy paths through tape-style asynchrony. A playground for dissolving structure-whatever you feed it becomes something else. The Umbra Edition the original LAPS pedal in a new disguise - the same functionality as the OG, with updated hardware. Unlike the original, Umbra does not have true bypass. It also features a redesigned enclosure and new panel components.

LAPS draws inspiration from Puremagnetik's Small Winters - a plugin built in collaboration with sound artist and 12k label manager Taylor Deupree. LAPS takes the concept beyond the digital realm with enhanced features and physical functionality. Whether you're sketching loops or building spacious compositions, LAPS transforms into a powerful, hands-on sound design tool.

Looking for a looper? LAPS does loop-but don't expect a traditional looper. It's an idiosyncratic sound design tool full of happy accidents and unexpected surprises. Think of it more as an experimental recorder, inspired by tape music and the Make Noise Morphagene.
