Original 1937 German real photo postcard (RPPC) featuring a beautiful panoramic view of Frankfurt am Main, showing the city's historic skyline, riverfront, bridge, and prominent church towers reflected in the River Main.
The front is captioned:
"Frankfurt a/M. - Sachsenhäuser Steg und Dom."
The reverse bears an original 6 Reichspfennig RLB Luftschutz Air Defense stamp, a Frankfurt am Main cancellation dated 8 March 1937, and handwritten correspondence.
A wonderful piece of prewar German postal history and city photography.
Frankfurt, March 8, 1937
