This standard size vintage color-tinted postcard depicts the Panama Canal, specifically showing the railroad tracks curving along the breakwater at Balboa ("Rompe-Agua en Balboa / Breakwater at Balboa"). Printed locally under the "Postal G.N. No. 40" publisher mark, this early 1910s card offers a fantastic glimpse into the engineering efforts of the canal construction era. The front captures the rugged landscape, rail lines, and distant coastal hills. The back of the card features a 1-cent Canal Zone stamp with a period postmark and was hand-dated 1910.
