A truly exceptional vintage dress by AnnaBelinda, tailored in a luxurious wool and silk fabric with a rich brown ground and an intricate bronze geometric basket-weave pattern.
The softly pleated fitted bodice features a deep wrap-effect V-neckline and five asymmetric bronze satin-covered buttons, believed to be silk. Fine bronze piping travels over the shoulders, while the long sleeves are finished with open cuff splits and coordinating satin trim.
The defined waist opens into a beautifully fluid midi skirt with central pleating at the front and back. Narrow black and bronze trims provide an exquisite finish around the hemline. The dress is fully lined in lustrous bronze-brown satin.
The original fabric swing ticket remains attached inside the dress, and we therefore believe it has never been worn. It is presented in beautiful vintage condition.
Labelled UK 16, but the 32-inch waist is closer to a modern UK 14. Please check the measurements carefully.
Wool and silk according to the original fabric ticket. No percentages are stated. The bronze satin-covered buttons and coordinating trims are believed to be silk.
The AnnaBelinda label began in Oxford in 1970 and was already established nationally through Liberty and Harrods by the mid-1970s.
