This focusing screen was originally sold for the LX model; it is 1/3 EV brighter than the standard focusing screen designed for the MX. Consequently, when using it with an MX, you need to make an adjustment using the ASA dial. For example, if you use this screen with an MX and load it with ASA 100 film... ...theoretically, the correct ASA setting on the MX body would be 125. However, when actually using this screen on an MX, we recommend comparing the readings with a separate light meter and applying the appropriate correction.
