A beautiful Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Edition Oxford Prayer Book with Hymns A & M, produced to commemorate the Coronation and presented in its original EIIR presentation box. This small Ruby 32mo volume features an attractive red binding with gilt EIIR royal cypher, gilt page edges, ribbon marker and a special printed presentation page commemorating the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A handwritten contemporary presentation inscription dated shortly after the Coronation adds period provenance and character. Complete with the original cream box bearing the EIIR cypher and Coronation Edition label, this is an appealing piece of British royal memorabilia for collectors of Queen Elizabeth II, coronation souvenirs, prayer books and royal history. The book shows some age related wear and rubbing, particularly to the gilt edges, while the original box has age toning, marks and edge wear as pictured.
