Large folding linen backed map. Blue paper wraps are bumped, creased worn and lightly grubby with some surface chipped/scuffed patches (see photos). Nick to top and bottom of spine. Inside wraps are toned. Lightly worn, foxed and bumped, (linen backing heavier foxing). Worn, with some nicks and small holes to folds as would be expected. Several tiny puncture/pin holes to top. Overall in reasonably good condition for age.

The Cartographer, Alexander Gross was a prominent Hungarian-British cartographer and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society who founded "Geographia" Ltd., which became incredibly successful by producing highly detailed, accessible maps for the British public during wartime. In partnership with The Daily Telegraph, these maps were sold at newsagents across the UK so that civilians could track troop movements and changing front lines.

Shipping

  • We will gladly ship anywhere in the World.
  • We offer FREE UK domestic shipping, fully tracked and insured.
  • We use several services for overseas shipping, under 5kg usually shipped via Royal Mail Tracked. Heavier shipments or faster courier services are available, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred method.
  • We combine shipping for multiple items (Please wait to be invoiced for multiple purchases for accurate costings).
  • We will also gladly hold purchased items to allow for larger combined shipments, (Please let us know before payment).
  • All shipping costs are weight dependent.
  • We ship at cost.

Packaging
All our books will be carefully and securely packaged in custom made book boxes (The majority of which are produced Carbon Neutral). The Bubble packaging and boxes are all recyclable, and most tape used is environmentally friendly (we are constantly researching ways to reduce our environmental impact without compromising safe, secure and affordable shipping). We aim to send all items within 24-48 hours of payment.

If you are unhappy in any way, for whatever reason, with the transaction or the item, please contact us as soon as possible. Your item is fully refundable if not as described.
