When it came to cutting soulful pop records, even a teenage Michael Jackson had a habit of making it look remarkably easy. We can confirm that his fourth solo album for Motown - is every bit as charming as its reputation suggests. On the A-side you'll find the uplifting 'We're Almost There', where Jackson's preternaturally gifted voice sails through glowing string arrangements. Elsewhere, the impossibly tender 'One Day In Your Life' is, if anything, even lovelier. Featuring one of his most affecting early performances, it's arguably the record's standout moment (though we'd never argue with anyone reaching straight for 'Just A Little Bit Of You').
