Beautifull woven French tapestry with hunting scenes dating early 1900's has original fer forge rings at the back. This is a large rectangular pictorial tapestry (wall hanging) showing a classical hunting scene set in a dense forest landscape, in the long tradition of Flemish and French “verdure” and chasse (hunt) tapestries.A huntsman occupies the foreground. He wears period-style clothing: a soft red hat/beret, a loose white shirt or tunic, red stockings/hose, and boots. He strides forward dynamically, raising a hunting horn or switch in his right hand while controlling two white hunting dogs. A hunting horn hangs at his waist. In the middle distance to the right, a second, smaller male figure appears to be running or gesturing along a path, possibly another hunter. The background is a richly detailed woodland with large trees ,layered foliage in blues, soft greens, and earth tones, undergrowth with broad leaves, and a sense of depth created by the path and distant elements. The overall palette is muted and atmospheric, with the characteristic cool blue-green tonalities. The piece follows the visual language of 17th–19th-century Flemish iand French Aubusson hunting/verdure tapestries. It appears woven in wool with silk.It looks like a complete panel rather than a fragment, though no elaborate floral or architectural border is clearly visible.Pictures part of description, hasnt got smell, byt would recommend dry cleaners to clean dust.Has original rings from fer firge attached to it.Sizing 142cm in heightx85cm wide. Please contact if you willing to purchase few items than we might be able combine shipping.Attention!!!USA customers all orders posted to you will have import Duty paid!!!!Thats included in your shipping fee.Other Buyers resposable for paying any import taxes on arrival of the parcel depending on your country rules, price includes items cost and shipping.
