Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Ercona II medium format folding camera, manufactured by Zeiss Ikon Dresden in East Germany during the 1950s. This is a highly versatile dual-format camera capable of shooting both 6x9 cm and 6x6 cm frames on standard 120 roll film. The camera body is exceptionally clean, featuring pristine satin-chrome plates and well-preserved leatherette. It comes complete with its original brown leather carrying case. This camera has been fully checked and is ready for use.
Condition
The camera is in pristine cosmetic and fully operational condition. Everything is completely clean and functions exactly as it should. The bellows are light-tight, crisp, and the folding mechanism opens and closes smoothly. The optics on the Novonar 110mm lens are crystal clear, with no fungus, haze, scratches, or separation. The Tempor shutter fires accurately across all speeds from 1 second to 1/250th, including Bulb mode. The aperture blades are clean, oil-free, and snappy.
