Antique circa 1850s 1/6 plate daguerreotype featuring a seated man and woman. The image is housed in a complete hinged case with an ornate brass mat and preserver and a red embossed interior pad.

The reverse of the plate is handwritten “#559 Bust of Lady,” likely an early photographer’s studio notation.

The image and case show considerable age-related wear. The case remains complete, although the hinge and spine are fragile. Please examine all photos carefully for condition.
