From the MGM Academy Award Winning Short, Released in 1965

With Linda Jones Seal and Certificate of Authenticity

The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics is a 1965 animated short film directed by Chuck Jones and co-directed by Maurice Noble, based on the 1963 book of the same name written and illustrated by Norton Juster, who also provided the film's script.  It won the 1965 Academy Award for Animated Short Film and was entered into the Short Film Palme d'Or competition at the 1966 Cannes Film Festival.

This original production cel has also been SIGNED by Chuck Jones. Chuck Jones once called production cels, "a gift of time" as they represent an actual moment (moment, by the way, is a heartbeat) in history.  It is a 12-field cel which measures 10.5" x 12.5".  As with most cels, it is gouache on acetate and includes a photo-reproduction background.

NOTE: The Charles Scott Gallery is a Linda Jones Enterprise Preferred Gallery, so your artwork is direct from the company started by Chuck and his daughter and will come with a LJE COA.  You can't get better provenance. NOTE: please contact us before you buy this to make sure it is still available.
