Up for sale is an incredibly rare, investment-grade masterpiece of American costume jewelry history: an authentic WWII-era floral bouquet fur clip by Ralph DeRosa.
Founded in New York, the DeRosa firm was celebrated for its high-fashion, three-dimensional architectural jewelry pieces distributed exclusively through elite luxury retailers.
This stunning, multi-tiered statement clip features a deeply dimensional cluster of blooming violet/pansy blossoms meticulously coated in original shades of lavender, violet-purple, sunny yellow, and mint green enamel.
The flower centers host glittering, open-backed clear rhinestones, beautifully framed by curving botanical ribbons and leaves encrusted with pavé-set clear rhinestones.
The reverse features a heavy-duty, spring-loaded double-prong fur clip mechanism that grips firmly.
The backing retains its original rich, golden vermeil/rhodium wash and is deeply stamped with the premier "R.
DEROSA" signature alongside the "STERLING" purity mark and an early alphanumeric workshop code.
All considerations are visible in the photos provided.
