A vintage 1979 thirteenth printing of Malcolm X: The Man and His Ideas by George Breitman, published by Pathfinder Press, New York.

The text originated as a speech delivered by Breitman to the Friday Night Socialist Forum at Eugene V. Debs Hall in Detroit on 5 March 1965, shortly after the assassination of Malcolm X.

Rather than being a conventional full-length biography, this pamphlet examines Malcolm X’s political development, ideas, influence and revolutionary significance. It is an interesting period publication connected with the contemporary socialist interpretation of Malcolm X and his place within the Black freedom struggle in the United States.

The publication page identifies this copy as the Thirteenth Printing, March 1979.
