Offered here is a Revell H-285:198 Tommy Ivo's Four Engine Dragster “Showboat” plastic model kit in 1/25 scale.

This is a later Revell re-release of the classic Showboat kit and is NOT being represented as the original 1963 issue.

This example is especially attractive for the collector because it appears to remain factory sealed in its original shrink wrap.

The kit recreates one of the most extraordinary machines from American drag racing's golden age—Tommy “TV Tommy” Ivo's legendary Showboat Four Engine Dragster.

The Showboat was famous for its almost unbelievable mechanical configuration: four Buick V8 engines and four-wheel drive. The Revell kit captures that remarkable layout with the four engines prominently displayed along the chassis.

This re-release retains the wonderful period-style Revell presentation, including the dramatic Showboat artwork and Revell “Speed & Show” Team graphics. That makes it an excellent display piece for collectors of vintage-style Revell kits, drag racing memorabilia and Tommy Ivo material.

Collector references identify Revell H-1285 as the 1/25-scale Tommy Ivo Showboat kit; importantly, the tooling/subject has appeared in later production as well, so H-1285 identification by itself should not be used to date a particular box to 1963.

The kit remains sealed, so the contents have not been disturbed or inventoried. The box and shrink wrap exhibit normal storage/age wear. Please use the photographs as the primary guide to cosmetic condition.
