Vintage DEDHAM POTTERY THE POTTING SHED BOOKENDS Set. EACH
BOOKEND FEATURES THREE RABBITS IN THE TYPICAL BLUE AND WHITE CRACKLE GLAZE WITH
HAND PAINTED FLORAL DECORATIONS. THEY ARE MARKED KN 931 USA and VHA 92 USA ON
THE BASE AND ARE ABSOLUTELY MINT WITH NO CHIPS, HAIRLINES OR REPAIRS. Crafted
in United States, these heavy ceramic pieces are highly sought after by
collectors. They depict 3 on each end and are marked or signed on the base. Dedham
Pottery's iconic "crouching rabbit" design (originally trademarked in
1896) has been celebrated on highly collectible ceramic rabbit bookends. These
are primarily made by The Potting Shed, a licensed studio that historically
produced faithful replicas of the traditional blue-and-white crackle glaze
pottery.
Each bookend is 5.5” tall x 9” wide and 8” deep. Unboxed
they are 4.5 Lbs. They interlock. They have rubber pads on the bottom.
Very lovely and in excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
