Carmelite liturgical book containing the daytime portions of the Divine Office (the Diurnale or Diurnum) used by the friars of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel (the Carmelites)

**Venetiis. 1763. 16mo measuring; 13cm x 7.9cm. Bound in full contemporary calf, elegantly stamped in gilt, with floral borders to both boards, the spine in compartments with raised bands, fine binding, all page edges dyed red. with patterned pastedowns.  title and text in red and black, xlvii, 486, ccii, [2]pp. Latin text. With one engraved plate**

 

Condition: See photos as part of condition report: Nicely bound, holding firmly, some rubbing to the upper spine end, light chipping to the boards corners, gilt still bright, with patterned pastedowns, and blank end leaves, text block firm, Some near contemporary and contemporary ink annotations to the end leaves. leaves crisp. Very good.
