Describing the Animal Oeconomy, and a short rationale of many distempers incident to human bodies, 3 volumes, mixed editions, (volume I, 3rd edition, volume II, 2nd edition), plus appendix, London: Innys, 1717-28, engraved portrait frontispiece to volume I, 31 engraved plates only in volumes 1 & 2 (of 32, lacking plate XIX), 51 engraved plates in appendix, a few small ink inscriptions, bookplates of William Greene, contemporary calf, volume I lacking spine label, 8vo measuring; 20.8cm x 13.3cm. Volume 1; xii, [4], 1-188pp and 11 Folding engraved plates. Volume 2; [2], 189-448, [16]pp with 20 Engraved plates [of 21]. Volume 3; 95, [1]pp with all 51 engraved plates.**

 

Condition: See photos as part of condition report: Full set, mixed editions, 

volume I, 3rd edition, volume II, 2nd edition), plus appendix 
volume. Lacking one plate in volume 2 otherwise complete. All bound in contemporary full calf. Holding firmly, lacking the title label from volume 1. Some rubbing to the extremities, spines and boards edges. bookplate [William Greene] to the front pastedowns. Tex bocks secure, some perishing to volume 1's FFEP's gutter, pages crisp, occasional light marks,. Occasional period ink name.
