Item Description

An original Wings Back To The Egg 1979 MPL promotional picture disc LP. The disc comes housed in a die-cut picture sleeve. Only 200 of these were pressed for the launch of the LP in June 1979. 100 were given out to family and friends. It is documented that the other 100 were ready to be given out at the album launch but were left in a taxi, this album is one of those copies. The matrix number on side one is YEX 987-2. The matrix number on side two is YEX 988-1. The run-out grooves are engraved on each side with the words ‘Nick W’ and ‘Nick’ respectively. The catalogue number on the edge of the record is PCTCP257. The inner bag has the blue stripe in the upper corner. These bags were exclusive to EMI at the time. The spine of the sleeve has the title and the catalogue number PCTC 257 in between the numerous symbols. The record is in near mint condition. The sleeve has some minor creases to the edges and light wear to each of the corners of the sleeve. The condition is otherwise excellent.

Our Grading System Explained

Mint = As new. Near Mint = Almost like new with one or two very minor flaws. Excellent = Minor wear yet looks attractive and is perfectly usable . Very Good = Some wear and tear but overall presentable and usable. Good = Apparent wear and tear but with obvious deterioration of the condition. Poor = Extremely worn. A plus or minus after the grading indicates that the condition is marginally higher or lower than the stated grade.
