💡 Usage Tips

• Combo role planning: For a 2-camera shoot, run both as TX (each 1TX→N RX); for A-cam + backup monitor village, run 1TX+1RX and keep the 2nd as spare.

• Auto Channel before call time: Set channel mode to "Auto" — manual mode disables seamless hopping.

• Cap 5 TX per scene: DJI recommends ≤5 simultaneous TX units in one location for stable 1→8 control.

• RS 5: In-box C-to-C from TX lower USB-C → RS 5 multi-port; no CAN cable needed. RS 4/4 Pro/3 Pro → buy USB-C→CAN. Ronin 2 / Master Wheels → buy USB-C→4-pin.

• Phone wired monitor: RX lower USB-C → phone/tablet USB-C gives stable high-bitrate monitoring without Wi-Fi congestion.

• NP-F for standalone TX: When not on a Ronin, pop an NP-F on the adapter plate — avoids draining camera/accessory batteries.

⚠️ Important Notes

• SDI not on base unit — requires separately purchased Expansion Plate (adds SDI + HDMI + 4× USB-C + cage mount).

• Not gen-1 compatible — SDR Transmission 2 cannot pair with original SDR Transmission TX/RX.

• 35ms is codec-only — total on-set delay includes camera sensor latency + display latency.

• 4km is CE/LoS lab max — real buildings, trees, Wi-Fi, 5G cut this sharply.

• Camera control is model-limited — aperture/ISO/record start vary by camera; check Ronin camera compatibility list. Master Wheels + Ronin 2 only guarantee record start/stop + gimbal, not full PTP.

• No native vertical mount when transceiver attaches to gimbal via quick-release plate.

• Focus Pro not supported — DJI Focus Pro cannot be controlled through this unit.
