This is an extremely rare internal focal plane shutter mechanism and tensioning gear unit removed from a vintage Zeiss Ikon Miroflex 9x12 cm large format press camera (produced in Germany between the 1920s and 1930s). This block features the main large winding gear wheel, a complex system of gear trains, interlocking levers, and tension springs that controlled the camera's high-speed focal plane shutter speeds up to 1/2000s and synchronized the mirror lift. It is completely original, uncleaned, and preserved in its authentic vintage state.
