What Is it?
The GA5010 Manual Shut‑Off Ball Valve is a 1/2" × 1/2" NPT gas shutoff valve used on Desa, FMI, Vanguard, Comfort Glow, and other vent‑free heaters and fireplaces. It provides a manual inline shutoff point for the appliance’s gas supply and includes a 1/8" NPT test‑tap port for pressure checking. This valve installs on the supply line feeding the gas control valve and is typically replaced when the original valve becomes stiff, leaks, or fails to fully close. Its compact brass body is designed for residential heater and fireplace applications where a service shutoff is required.
