Sterling silver wine bottle coaster by Mappin Brothers, Chester 1901. Pierced design with wooden floor.
Marks: maker M BROS (Mappin Brothers); lion silver mark; Chester assay office mark; date letter A for the year 1901.
Dimensions: approx 3½ inches diameter. The inner diameter is just over 3 inches diameter, perfect for a standard wine bottle.
Weight: 2.76 troy ounces including the wooden base insert.
Very good condition.
