Authentic Japanese woodblock print by renowned contemporary artist Kato Teruhide (1936–2015), titled Autumn Leaves Stage (Momiji Butai).
The composition depicts a traditional Japanese architectural structure framed by vivid maple foliage in autumn. The strong contrast between the deep red leaves and the architectural elements creates a striking and distinctive composition.
Kato Teruhide was an artist who deeply admired Kyoto and created numerous works inspired by the city's traditional architecture, seasonal scenery, and timeless atmosphere.
The original design dates to around 1989 and was created as a painting, which was reproduced as a traditional Japanese woodblock print. This impression was printed from the original woodblocks in a later edition and hand-printed on fine Echizen Washi paper using traditional Japanese woodblock printing techniques.
