Vintage Mitsubishi HS-303B top-loading VHS video cassette recorder, made in Japan.

An unusual early VHS machine featuring five direct-drive motors and originally offering speed search, freeze-frame and editing functions.

CONDITION AND TESTING:

Sold strictly for parts, repair or restoration.

The recorder was briefly connected to power using a non-original test lead and it powered on. The lead used for testing is not original to this machine and is not included in the sale.

No further testing has been carried out. A VHS cassette has not been inserted, and the loading, ejecting, playback, recording, picture, sound and control functions have not been tested.

Please presume that the machine has numerous faults and may require extensive repair. No functionality beyond powering on is claimed or guaranteed.

The recorder is in heavily used cosmetic condition, with considerable scratches, marks, dirt, discolouration and general wear. There is also visible damage around the top cassette-loading section.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

No power lead, remote control, instructions, VHS cassette or additional accessories are included.
