📋 Saddle Specifications

Brand, Size & Model: Thorowgood 15 inch Pony GP Saddle from the T4 range with velcro adjustable knee and thigh blocks. Tagged 15" MPO Pony

Colour & Material: Brown synthetic. Suedette seat, knee rolls and gussets, leather girth straps.

Tree & Panel Type: S bar simatree on wool flocked standard profile panels. Can be adapted to fit standard and low wither fits. We strongly recommend the saddle fit is checked by a qualified saddle fitter before use.

  • Please study all photos carefully as they form an important part of the condition description.

  • Please expect general wear from use e.g. to seat, flaps from riders’ legs / stirrup leathers, girth straps and knee blocks.

  • Flocking condition can vary and remains as received from the previous owner. **In my opinion this saddle has been very well flocked, while this may have been right for the previous owners pony, I expect your saddle fitter may wish to remove flocking, the saddle has been priced with this in mind, and I recommend you ensure you have a fitting booked when purchasing this saddle to ensure fit can be adjusted for your pony**

  • Has had professional repair strip added to cantle, pic 14.

  • Both headnails are missing their red plastic tops, hence appear silver in colour.

  • RHS skirt has chip missing from it, pic 15.

  • Stretching to girth straps on both sides, particularly LHS strap 3, and RHS straps 2 and 3.

  • Rubs through upper layer of flap material on LHS, pic 16.

  • LHS flap has splits in one of the two layers of material on LHS underside around stirrup leather keeper, pic 17.

  • Wear to suedette of seat and knees.

This all-round saddle helps the young rider develop a balanced and independent seat. Super-comfy and stylish, with slimline panels to allow clear communication of the leg aids

Ideal for all kinds of riding activities!

It is available in 4 seat sizes, scaled to accommodate the very young child on their first pony, through to the more active teenager or petite adult rider.

Luxurious suede-effect seat covering and knee pads are non-slip and really comfortable to ride on.

The panels are flocked with 100% British wool and have a maximised bearing surface, while the short panel design enables this saddle to fit on short-backed ponies. This saddle is available in one panel profile (standard) but thanks to the SimaTree S-Bar can be adjusted to suit low wither and standard wither fits.

A longer flap option is in the 16" and 16½" models to accommodate the rider with a longer leg.

📦 Trial Period

  • Trial begins on the day the saddle is delivered (including weekends & bank holidays).

  • You must notify us by Day 5 if you wish to return the saddle. After this point, the sale is deemed final.

  • The saddle remains your responsibility throughout the trial period and must be handled with appropriate care.

🚚 Returning the Saddle

  • The saddle must be scanned in by your chosen carrier no later than Day 6, otherwise late return fees will apply.

  • Return postage is at the buyer’s own cost.

  • Any loss or damage during return transit remains the buyer’s responsibility. We strongly recommend using a reputable, fully tracked and insured delivery service.

💸 Fees & Refunds

  • A £25 trial fee per saddle will be deducted from the refund amount.

  • Refunds are usually issued within 48 hours after the saddle has been inspected and its condition confirmed.

  • Any change in condition may result in deductions based on reduction in resale value.

⏰ Late Return Policy

  • A £5 per day late fee applies from Day 7 onwards.

  • If the saddle has not been returned by Day 14, the sale is deemed final.
