HELJAN OO Gauge 2538 Class 25 25912 'Tamworth Castle' BR Blue Custom Weathered 'Ice Cream Van' Silver Roof

Thank you for viewing our listing for this OO gauge model of the Class 25, manufactured by Heljan (2538). It carries the running number 25912 and is named 'Tamworth Castle'. This model shows the loco in its unique, depot-applied livery of BR blue with full yellow ends, black window surrounds, red buffer beams and a silver roof. The loco carried this livery from around 1984 and the name was applied unofficially.

Custom weathering has been applied in a medium to heavy finish - it's a great job with lots of gathered muck and streaks down the sides of the body.

The model features a plastic body on a diecast chassis. It has separately fitted handrails & end pipework and features working head, tail and cab lights.

The loco is presented in excellent, used condition and has been test run to ensure proper operation. The additional detailing parts (not weathered) and instructions are included. The box and outer cardboard sleeve are in good condition with some shelf wear, there is also a small rip to the sleeve. Please view all of the images to help gain a better understanding of any damaged areas.

This is a nice model of an interesting example of the Class 25 with a nice weathered finish. It would make a great addition to your layout!

ABOUT US - TEST TRACK MODELS

Hi, I'm Tom, a model railway lifer and car tragic. I've spent many, many hours working on model railway layouts at home, being roped-in by my dad at a young age! I also have a passion for cars and used to collect 1:18 scale examples.

With over 10 years' experience buying & selling on eBay and having spent all of my working life in different levels of retail I decided to take a risk, leave my career and set up Test Track Models, intending to bring good value to a strong selection of pre-owned model railway items, cars of all scales and perhaps the other odd thing in between.

It's been exciting so far (and a steep learning curve) and I look forward to where it might end up.

I commit to reusing packaging where I can to lessen any impact, and using options such as paper packing tape.

With thanks,
Tom
