Acoustic slat panels look brilliant, right up until you want to put a shelf, a hook or a picture on one. Drill into the wood and you've made a permanent hole in an expensive panel. Use sticky pads and they let go — usually with whatever they were holding.
These fixings give you a proper screw point on the wall, with nothing showing on the face of the panel. They slot into the felt gap between two slats, twist 90° so the wide section locks in behind, and give you a central hole to screw into.
1. INSERT — push the fixing into the gap between two slats
2. TWIST — rotate 90° so it locks in behind the slats
3. SECURE — screw your hook, bracket or fitting into the centre hole
Takes seconds. No tools needed to fit it. Twist it back and it comes straight out — no trace left behind.
How much weight a fixing will safely hold depends on your installation, not on the fixing alone. It varies with how your panel is built (whether the slats are stapled or glued to the felt backing), how securely the panel itself is fixed to the wall behind, the screws you use, and what you're mounting.
Always spread the load across several fixings, build up weight gradually and check it holds before you trust it, and don't rely on a single fixing for anything heavy or mounted overhead.
