A Vintage Brown Mottle Glaze Australian John Campbell Tasmania Pottery Vase Ribbed Sided Flared Rimmed Round Base Squat Vase, is in the shape of a Drum or industrial chimney with concave middle and flared ends, has multi incised border ribbinglike beehiving on base rim and border  banner on upper circumferencing, has incised script signature of above said Pottery Artist with number 48, this number usually refers to manufacture year, so being 1948, don't see many of 40's stuff, this Glaze popular throughout the Art Deco Period and initiated in the early to mid 1930's when studio was in full operation, the above dating is an estimation from research, you may know better, let you decide, has a 7cm or just under 2.75" round base and is 10cm or about 4" tall, with a mouth diameter, is 5.5cm or about 2" wide, and weighs 220g, has light surface scratches, rub wear, dirt and grime residue, marks and Fade and discolouration, this is being sold as a Second Hand and or a Vintage Item, does have possible light scuffs and scratches, has surface grime and marks and residue, staining as per photographs, which may differ slightly in colour, due to focus or exposure on camera shots, are otherwise in good condition ,does have slight wear from age, use and poor storage, is possibly in need of a detailed clean, conditioning or slight refurbishment if desired.
