Original FERNANDES HEAD CRASHER FRT-4B tremolo bridge, originally installed on a 1988 FERNANDES FR-75 electric guitar.
This is the later version of the FRT-4B, featuring the fine tuners positioned toward the rear of the bridge to help prevent accidental contact during playing and reduce unintended tuning changes.
The bridge uses a string installation system in which the ball ends of the strings are removed before installation. It is designed with compatibility with Floyd Rose-style tremolo systems and offers a practical and versatile design.
This particular bridge features a 42 mm block, suitable for guitars without a recessed tremolo cavity.
The bridge has been disassembled, cleaned, polished, and reassembled for inspection and maintenance. All parts were checked for completeness, including the retaining components underneath the insert blocks.
The bridge has very little visible wear and remains in excellent overall condition. The finish on the bridge section is also unusually well preserved, without the thin-coating issue sometimes seen on examples from this production period.
Please note that the original FERNANDES tremolo arm is not included. A standard 6 mm screw-in tremolo arm can be used.
