For sale is a rare and unusual late-19th-century circular-wrap cornet, manufactured during the height of the Victorian brass band era (circa 1865–1898).

Maker & Retailer Provenance: The flared bell features the crisp, ornate "GB" monogram and is stamped "BUTLER HAYMARKET LONDON". Furthermore, it bears a secondary historic retail/distributor stamp reading "KAY WESTWORTH BIRMINGHAM" (referencing the legendary Victorian music warehouse on Cannon Street), documenting its journey through the British regional music trade.

Design: Built in a compact, circular-wrap configuration ("Vibrating Horn" style), making it a fascinating piece of 19th-century acoustic engineering and portable band history.

Condition: Offered strictly in unrestored, original antique condition. We have intentionally left the heavy historical tarnish and aged patina completely untouched, as serious collectors prefer to preserve the authentic surface rather than have it aggressively polished.

Condition Note (Please Read): Shows general age-related wear, surface scuffs, and dings consistent with a 140+ year-old piece. Please examine all photographs closely: there is a distinct crimp/indentation mark on one of the lower curved tube resulting from an old jubilee clip (clearly detailed in the close-up photos) it was mounted to a board for display purposes.
