A classic and wonderfully elegant piece of vintage lighting design, this BHS ceramic table lamp base features a beautifully turned, high-gloss ginger jar silhouette. Rising from a stepped circular foot, the earthenware pottery swells smoothly into a balanced, bulbous mid-section before tapering elegantly up into a tiered faux-lid column ring. Finished in a highly reflective, warm cream glaze, this sophisticated neutral base interacts beautifully with accent lighting and coordinates effortlessly with both traditional cottage style settings or clean, minimalist modern interiors.

This piece is in good, fully working vintage condition, showing honest character markings typical of authentic household ceramics. The cream glaze retains an exceptional, mirror-like factory shine across the entirety of the urn body. Structurally, there is an incredibly faint, very fine surface hairline fracture extending from the bottom rim roughly 4 inches up the side wall. This hairline is completely tight, purely superficial, does not threaten the structural integrity of the heavy-gauge clay wall, and remains perfectly stable. The solid brass hardware displays a gentle, attractive age patina. The electrical elements are working and intact, but the lamp is currently un-tested; as with all pre-owned vintage electronics, it should be PAT tested by a certified technician prior to regular home use.
