Marco Benedetti – Personal Modrone Italian Tarot - very rare handmade SIGNED

A truly rare and exceptional piece by Italian artist and tarot restorer Marco Benedetti, created in Rome in July 2024.

The Personal Modrone is Benedetti’s own artistic reconstruction of the historic Visconti di Modrone Tarot, one of the most fascinating and luxurious tarot decks of the 15th century. Because so many cards from the original deck have been lost, Benedetti completed the deck using carefully selected historical artworks and cards from other Renaissance sources, while maintaining the elegant late-medieval aesthetic of the original.

This beautiful edition contains 90 cards, making it considerably larger than a standard 78-card tarot deck. The additional court cards are one of the distinctive characteristics of the Modrone tradition.

This particular deck is handmade and printed on beautiful art paper, giving it a wonderful tactile quality and a depth and richness of colour that photographs simply cannot do justice to. It is a truly special collector’s item and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful versions of the Modrone available.

Condition: NEW / UNUSED.

Please note that this is a handmade artisan deck, rather than a mass-produced commercial edition. As such, very minor variations or subtle irregularities in the paper, cutting, printing or handmade components may naturally occur. These are inherent to the artisanal nature of the work and should not be considered defects.
