WHY IT DATES TO CIRCA 1960s:

• U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,126,407 and 2,126,094 are 1938 Kliklok closure patents — Life Savers used that Kliklok box system for decades, so the patents themselves are not a production date

• Sleeve embossing "1947 M" is a mold/box-maker mark from National Fold Box Co. / Mead Packaging, not the candy date

• Rolls marked "Port Chester, N.Y. AND San Jose, Calif." — the San Jose plant did not exist in the 1940s-50s. Collector reference notes "1960s, San Jose, California - Photo of the plant, by Zellar, George, 21 March 1962"

• All silver foil ends — no colored foil tipping used in the 1930s-mid 1950s era

The combination of the Volume V design with dual-city rolls puts this sealed example in the Port Chester & San Jose era, c.1960-1965.
