Up for sale is a beautiful vintage wide-angle manual prime lens Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Orestegon 2.8/29 with the highly collectible Zebra barrel design. This specific lens features the prestigious 1Q (First Quality) export marking from the GDR era. The lens has undergone professional mechanical and optical maintenance (serviced/preventative care) and is fully ready for filming or photography. It comes with its original vintage brown leather hard case in excellent functional condition with a working metal latch, along with the protective front and rear lens caps. The optical construction provides stunning classic rendering, smooth out-of-focus bokeh, and great close-up capabilities with a minimum focusing distance of just 0.25 meters. Excellent serviced condition. The lens has been fully inspected, cleaned, and lubricated. The optics are bright and clear with no scratches, no fungus, no separation, and no heavy haze. Only minimal microscopic dust particles might be present inside, which is completely standard for vintage optics and does not affect the image quality. The mechanical operation is superb: the focus ring rotates smoothly and evenly across the entire range. The aperture blades are completely dry, free of oil, and snap open/close perfectly. The exterior barrel shows only minor, negligible signs of gentle use.
