Original FERNANDES FRT-8C Body Crasher bridge, originally installed on a 1986 FERNANDES FR-50 electric guitar.
The FRT-8C was used mainly on FERNANDES guitars during the mid-1980s. The FRT-8 series was produced in both earlier Japanese-made and later Korean-made versions. This is the earlier Japanese-made version, known for its solid construction, good materials, and precise workmanship.
This model is a non-double-locking bridge with functional fine tuners. Strings are inserted through the lower section beneath the fine tuners.
The stud spacing follows the same specification as Floyd Rose, making it compatible with FERNANDES FRT systems using the corresponding stud spacing.
The chrome finish is a particularly uncommon specification for this model. The bridge has relatively little visible wear and remains in very good overall condition. The fine tuner area shows only minor age-related wear.
The bridge has been disassembled, cleaned, and polished, leaving the individual components with a clean finish and good luster.
The tremolo arm connection uses a 6 mm threaded type. Springs are included.
The long block design makes this bridge suitable for some 1980s guitar bodies without a recessed tremolo cavity.
