What if AutoVIN does not recognise my vehicle?
AutoVIN depends on the vehicle and ECU protocol. Use manual vehicle selection if AutoVIN is unavailable; this does not by itself indicate that the scanner is faulty.
Why do fault codes return after being cleared?
A fault code will return if the underlying hardware, wiring or calibration problem remains. Some systems may also require a repair, service routine or active test before the code can be cleared successfully.
Does it support full-system diagnostics?
Yes, on supported Opel and Vauxhall vehicles it can access many systems beyond the four standard modules, including body, chassis, climate, TPMS, battery and instrument systems.
What is a bi-directional active test?
It allows the scanner to command a supported component directly through its ECU so operation can be checked during diagnosis.
