A Japanese copper kettle (yakan), also used as a water pitcher (mizutsugi) in sencha tea ceremony, hand-hammered (uchidashi-tsuchime) with a hinged spout lid and swing handle. It can be used on a stovetop. The base is impressed with the maker's mark "Kinshodo" (金正堂).
It measures approximately 5.5 x 7.1 x 8.3 in (14 x 18 x 21 cm) including the handle, and weighs 20.1 oz (570 g).
