A refurb Dell Precision workstation laptop, thoroughly checked and tested by our technicians (photos 2 onwards are of the listed unit). It comes with a charger in a repacked box. Has a 3-month RTB warranty with us. The screen is grade B (has some visible surface marks). The inside has visible wears (has some visible scratches on the palmrest). The outside looks decent (has some light scratches on the lid). The battery holds at least 55% of the original capacity (HWmonitor estimation only). A powerful laptop, expect some normal/noticeable heat/noise during use/under load. Sold on the VAT margin scheme (VAT cannot be claimed back).

Warranty:

We include a 3-month return to base warranty with us (see warranty tab for more info).

Our technician will provide support (simply contact us). If the initial remote diagnostics shows the need, we may request for you to get the item to us for servicing (within 30 days, repair/replace, or refund available); after the initial 30 days, a refund will only be arranged if repair or replacement is not possible. After the initial 30 days, the onus of the postage cost is with the buyer.

• Backing up your data is your responsibility. Your computer will be reset during the repair (your data will be lost). This does not apply to cosmetic wear due to use, nor existing issue(s) already noted in the original listing, nor does it cover any consumable part (the battery & chargers are covered for 30 days only). During the service, if damage due to misuse is found, (e.g. liquid / drops, etc) then the cover will be voided (see warranty info).
• Dell laptop's service tag may show remaining manufacturer's warranty - any of such warranty will not be included as a part of the listing & should be regarded as a bonus strictly (this is because whilst often the manufacturer may service it without an ownership transfer, to be clear a transfer is sometimes required for laptops to be serviced), as such we stand by our own RTB warranty duration only as a part of this listing. Our upgraded parts are covered by our in-house warranty only.

VAT

Standard VAT and VAT margin scheme explained

• The standard VAT scheme is charged at 20%, where an eligible VAT registered UK business may be able to claim this back. EU customers: we are unable to zero-rate VAT through this listing.
• The VAT margin scheme is frequently used for second-hand and refurbished goods. Where the margin scheme applies, the price you see includes VAT, but VAT cannot be claimed back or displayed separately on the invoice.

How does the VAT margin scheme affect you?

If you are a consumer buying for personal use, it does not affect you. The price you see is the price you pay. If you are a VAT registered business, or another organisation that could normally claim back VAT on eligible purchases, you will not be able to claim back VAT on goods sold under the VAT margin scheme.

Delivery and returns

Delivery

• Getting your item to you quickly and safely is important to us, so we use premium tracked courier services. Orders placed by 11am on working days are normally sent on a next-working-day service, typically with DPD where available.
• You can enter your mobile number at checkout to receive tracking updates, where supported by the courier.
• Delivery is during working days only. Orders placed on Friday or around a bank holiday will normally arrive early the following week. Where next-day service is unavailable, for example Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands, we may use a 2 to 3 day service.
• If you have a non-standard UK address, such as an armed forces address, please contact us if additional postal instructions may be needed.

Returns

• Within the first 30 days, you may return your order for repair or refund in line with marketplace returns and the listing terms. After 30 days, a refund is only arranged if repair or replacement is not available.
• You are responsible for removing any personal data from your device before returning it.
• Please return the item in the same condition as received. If the item is damaged, we may reduce the refund value proportionately.

EU and international orders

EU and international shipping may be fulfilled by the marketplace's international shipping programme or equivalent service where available.

We use the same prompt dispatch service to send the parcel for onward processing, after which the marketplace or courier handles international delivery.

If you are an EU buyer, we typically swap the UK plug cable for an EU cable where suitable and available.

Warranty

This item includes a return-to-base hardware warranty with us, starting from the date of delivery. The warranty duration is the duration specified in the product details for this listing.

• Our technicians provide support during the warranty period for hardware faults only. Please contact us through marketplace messages if you need help.
• If initial remote diagnostics show the need, we may ask you to return the item to us for servicing. Within the first 30 days, repair, replacement or refund may be available. After the first 30 days, a refund is only arranged if repair or replacement is not possible.
• The warranty does not include software support, data recovery, accidental damage, liquid damage or misuse. Backing up your data is your responsibility. Your device may be reset during repair and we do not offer a data recovery service.
• After the first 30 days, return postage is normally the buyer's responsibility unless marketplace policy or the product details state otherwise.
• The warranty does not cover cosmetic wear from use, issues already noted in the listing, consumable wear, or damage due to misuse such as liquid damage, drops or cracked screens.
• We do not guarantee that laptop battery runtime will match the manufacturer's estimate, as this varies significantly with settings, age and usage. Chargers and laptop batteries included with laptops have 30 days warranty only.
• Our return-to-base warranty is separate from any remaining manufacturer warranty. Any remaining manufacturer warranty should be treated as a bonus only. For Dell systems, we cannot transfer ownership.
