Exquisite, authentic antique late Victorian / Edwardian baby bib.
The centre panel is crafted from white cotton featuring traditional quilted Marcella (piqué) needlework
with an elegant floral and textured geometric relief design.
It is framed by a gorgeous, wide, gathered ruffle of highly detailed lace fabric.
Long, original cotton fabric straps secure the neck.
Notably, the back of the neck strap features a rare, authentic antique laundry mark/textile stamp reading "A. & A." in red script, indicating its provenance from an elite turn-of-the-century estate.
Perfect as an elite heirloom christening, baptism, or dedication accessory.
Highly collectible addition to an Edwardian textile or antique lace fabric collection.
An ideal display or dressing accessory for large French or German bisque antique dolls.
Good antique condition. The cotton structures and fabric ties are strong and secure.
The intricate lace fabric border is completely intact with no visible structural tears.
Please note there is mild, age-appropriate storage discoloration and light rusty-colored foxing spots
along the bottom edge/trim as shown in the photos.
We have left this completely original and unwashed to preserve the textile.
