Up for sale is a premium, matching set of four (4) heavy hand-carved solid oak furniture legs. These were originally salvaged from a high-end couch, making them exceptionally strong, durable, and structurally sound to support massive weight.
The upper section of the legs showcases an ornate, deeply carved stylized face (foliate mask / grotesque motif) framed by flowing Baroque-style acanthus leaf scrolls. The carving transitions smoothly down a textured fur neck into a chunky, highly detailed lion paw base.
NATURAL PATINA: These legs spent the last 15 years naturally weathering outdoors. Because they are crafted from premium solid oak, they remain rock-solid and completely free of wood rot. The outdoor elements successfully stripped away the original finish, leaving behind a highly desirable, authentic distressed rustic patina with beautifully raised wood grain textures.
CONDITION &MODIFICATION NOTES: Cosmetic Cracks Due to 15 years of outdoor exposure, all four legs feature natural hairline cracks and deep weather checks running along the vertical wood grain. These cosmetic separations give the oak an authentic, aged salvage character but do not compromise the heavy, dense structural integrity of the wood Important Condition Note on LEG D: A rectangular section of the upper mounting block was cleanly cut out / notched (see photos), likely done originally to fit around a specific internal sofa frame rail. The block remains strong but may require a spacer block or standard wood glue clamping depending on your project layout.
