Vintage Carl Reiner ENT / Laryngeal Surgical Instrument – Long Shaft – Austria

Offered is an unusual vintage surgical instrument manufactured by Carl Reiner, the well-known Austrian maker of specialized ENT and laryngeal surgical instruments.

This instrument features an exceptionally long metal shaft with a substantial ergonomic palm handle and finger-ring operated mechanism. The handle is clearly marked “CARL REINER.”

Based on its construction, this appears to be a specialized laryngeal/ENT surgical forceps or related instrument, intended for procedures involving the throat and larynx. The threaded end of the shaft appears to have been designed to accept an interchangeable working tip or attachment.

Condition: Vintage used condition with surface wear, discoloration, scratches and oxidation consistent with age and previous use. Please examine all photographs carefully. The working tip/attachment is missing however it seems designed to take different tips due to the threaded end. See photographs for condition
