Marcos Valle's Sempre, now reissued in 2026 seven years on from its original 2019 release, finds the veteran Brazilian melodist in imperious and groove-heavy form. He is backed by Azymuth's Alex Malheiros, percussionist Armando Marcal and the Phenix Horns across 11 cut that lean into the dancefloor aesthetic of Estatica's predecessors. Opener 'Olha Quem Ta Chegando' struts in Chic-style brass, while the closing instrumental echoes 'Estrela. 'Vou Amanha Saber' channels prime Earth, Wind & Fire, and the nine-minute 'Odisseia' simmers with mesmeric bass and late-night funk. Retro yet vividly current, this is a classic all killer, no filler.
