This is an authentic vintage Swiss-made sports chronograph pocket watch branded Parsi (Chronographe de Sport) dating back to the first half of the 20th century. The watch features a 50mm open-face case with a distinctive geometric Art Deco pattern on the back cover. The dial displays bold black Arabic numerals alongside multi-colored outer tachymeter and telemetric scales designed for athletic and speed measurements. This piece serves as an excellent, high-value donor for watchmakers or a premium base for restoration and marriage watch projects.
Condition
Pre-owned, sold strictly as-is for parts, repair, or restoration. The balance wheel assembly is fully intact and alive, freely swinging when given a gentle shake or minor wind, which confirms the balance staff is not broken. However, the watch is currently not in continuous running order and stops after just a few seconds. The piece is entirely missing all hands (hour, minute, and central chronograph hands) and is also missing the front crystal glass. The dial shows signs of aging, dust, and heavy lacquer deterioration/oxidation particularly on the right side between the 2 and 4 o'clock positions. The mechanical movement shows old dried oil and patina, requiring a full cleaning, service, and sourcing of replacement parts to become functional.
